We all want to use the internet to make our lives easier. If it could brush my teeth I would let it. The only drag is that sometimes I end up wasting more time trying to get customer support than I did actually using any product or service that I purchased. The time to research all of the companies and find out how they treat customers with different needs is not available to all of us. That is why information sites are so helpful. They do all of the legwork and we reap the benefits.
If you want to make sure that you do not get photos that look like they were printed with a child's paint brush then I will recommend that you avoid getting your pictures printed at the same place that you buy groceries. Some will argue that this is the most convenient option. I will not argue. This is very convenient. But the inconvenience is when you are stuck with pictures you can't use or return for a refund.
I will argue however that there is an even more convenient option. How about getting your pictures in the mail? The good photo processors are few and far between so they may not have a location in every town. Many offer free shipping and very cheap prints. In reality they are some of the lowest priced photo printers.
Once you have had a good recommendation for a company to have print your photos, make sure that your photos all look the way that you want them to before uploading them. You can bet that the company you choose will have some sort of free photo editing tool that is easy to use for the last minute touchups and size adjustments. Most printing services will look at every picture individually to make sure that the brightness and color contrasts are correct. This can annoy some people but to most it is a relief that somebody can and will do it correctly.
